BOSTON (CBS) — There was strong emotion from a grieving mother at a court appearance for her son’s apparent killer Thursday.

Susan Rawlinson, the mother of victim Stephen Jones, rushed out of the courtroom in tears when Pablo Flores was brought in
Prosecutors say Jones was shot by Flores while trying to break up a fight between Flores and another man back in May.
Jones was struck in the chest and stomach. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Flores allegedly pointed the gun at Jones’ friend and a female bystander before running away.
