RAVENNA, OH. (CBS Cleveland) – Portage County deputies arrested a man for breaking into a home.
The unusual part was how they found him. According to Portage County Sheriff David W. Doak, the homeowner came home to find a stranger sleeping in his bed. That stranger turned out to be Dustin Sellers Applegate, a burglary.
According to the police report, Applegate was wearing the homeowner’s clothes and had the homeowner’s shotgun in the bed besides him.
The police report went on to say that when Applegate awoke he reached for the gun but the homeowner was able to snatch it first.
Applegate has been charged with aggravated burglary.
