Driver Runs Into Casino Bus, Dies

GOLDEN, Colo. (AP) — A head-on crash involving a casino bus and two other vehicles left one driver dead and several injured.

The Sunday-morning crash happened when a woman driving a Ford Explorer on Highway 6 in Clear Creek Canyon crossed over the center line and hit the bus head-on. Forty casino employees and one driver were on the Horizon Coach Lines bus.

Eight people on the bus were hospitalized with minor injuries.

Also in the crash was an eastbound vehicle that struck the Explorer. One person in that vehicle was transported to the hospital in serious condition.

Tunnel 1 was closed Sunday morning while the crash scene was investigated.
