Chesterfield police hope the smallest clue can break the case of finding who shot little Brendon Mackey.
Bike patrol officers on foot near Sunday Park in Chesterfield are still very visible in the area where 7-year-old Brendon was killed by a stray bullet on July 4th.
“This case is particularly horrendous, because you have a very young child, minding his own business at a legitimate activity with his father, and now he’s dead,” said CBS-6 crime expert Steve Neal. “I don’t ever see a case like this going cold.”
Police have gone door-to-door for a few weeks, knocking on thousands of doors in Brandermill to try and get information that will help them solve the mystery.
