Man dragged under car for four miles in James City County

Now the driver of the second car, 22-year-old Michael Robinson, has been charged with causing injury or death while racing, leaving the scene and failure to render assistance to injured parties at an accident, and failure to report an accident with injuries.

According to police, two cars were speeding on Richmond Road when the driver of one of the cars, a 31-year-old man from Lanexa, lost control near James City Recycling.  His car hydroplaned on the wet road, spun several times and hit a tree, throwing him out of the car.

Police say he was then run over and dragged about four miles by the second car, which was driven by Robinson.  He told police the two cars were racing…
