A Fayetteville man faces a multitude of felony charges after police said he stabbed a woman, threatened to kill neighbors and attempted to burn a residence down.
Kelly Scott, 43, was booked in the Washington County Detention Center on Sunday afternoon and is currently being held without bond, according to the Sheriff’s Department website. Scott faces two charges of aggravated assault as well as terroristic threatening, criminal mischief and second-degree battery in addition to misdemeanor charges for arson, battery and resisting arrest, according to the website.
A preliminary police report said Scott has an extensive criminal history that includes aggravated assault, kidnapping, inflicting corporal injury and theft. He also faces a possible parole violation, according to the Sheriff’s website.
