HOUSTON (CBS Houston) Reports indicate that a seven-year-old boy was accidentally shot in the back by his younger brother in northeast Houston Tuesday evening.
Deputies were called to a house located on Lyons around 9 p.m. Tuesday. The mother of the young boys had just finished giving a bath to her sons.
It was then that the two boys began to play. Soon, the five-year-old managed to find a .22-caliber rifle and accidentally shoot his brother.
Additional reports indicate that the bullet went straight through the boy’s back.
The young victim who was rushed to an area hospital, is expected to be OK. Authorities continue their investigation of the case.
At the time of this report, no charges had been filed.
